Prof. Ranjit Kumar is the Head of the Department (HOD) and Professor of Zoology at Nagaland University, where he also serves as the in-charge of the Cancer Research Laboratory (CRL). His core expertise lies in cancer biology, toxicology, and molecular biology, with a particular focus on the anti-carcinogenic effects of medicinal plants and the impact of environmental pollutants such as arsenic and pesticides on health. With over a decade of research experience at the Mahavir Cancer Institute, Patna, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, and numerous national and international publications, he is recognized for his extensive work in environmental carcinogenesis, molecular mechanisms of disease prevention and public health.
